Chris joined the IBC staff as Pastor of Children’s Ministries in the summer of 2018. He has a long history with IBC starting at birth. He is thankful for the godly heritage and influence of his parents and IBC on his life. Chris was saved at age 4 at home and was baptized at IBC by Pastor Curt Lowry in November 1987. Through his high school and college years Chris was actively involved in the children’s ministry at IBC.

After graduating from Martinsburg Christian Academy in 1996, Chris pursued his elementary education degree at Baptist Bible College. Upon graduation Chris began his teaching career at Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy in Stephens City, Va (2000-2010). He also served as part-time Children’s Ministries Director at the church.

Chris and Christine were married in the summer of 2003. Acquaintances from childhood, they met through IBC’s first daughter church Paw Paw Bible Church. Chris and Christine returned to IBC in 2010 when Chris began working for Berkeley County Schools (2010-2018). They have 4 children – Tanner, Evan, Silas, and Aubrey. Chris enjoys gardening, hiking, and ancestry.
