Daniel is an important historical and prophetic book among the Major Prophets. This course will explain the Book’s exilic setting in comparison with OT history and Ancient Near Eastern history. Daniel was a man who stood true to God amidst a hostile culture, providing many practical lessons. Emphasis will be placed on the prophetic visions of Daniel and their outline of world history and of the future. The course will demonstrate how Daniel provided a foundation for later Biblical prophecy, especially Revelation, and how a literal, dispensational approach to interpretation provides the proper understanding of Bible prophecy.
