Miguel was born and raised in Venezuela, South America. Since his believing parents were both very involved in the ministry of PIEBPO (First Baptist Church of Puerto Ordaz), Miguel was constantly exposed to the gospel and God’s people. This resulted in his conversion at the age of seven.

Miguel served as an Assistant Pastor for two years at First Baptist Church Suffolk, VA, and began serving as the Pastor of Middle School Ministries at IBC in 2020. He and his wife Leslee met in college and were married in 2014. They have two kids, Josiah and Gabriela. Gabriela is being treated for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Miguel graduated with a B.A. in Bible/Theology and piano performance from Appalachian Bible College, and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Beach Theological Seminary in Virginia Beach, VA.
