Phillip grew up in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was raised in a strong Christian home and he trusted in Christ at an early age. He served as an Assistant Pastor for four years at a Bible church in Greencastle, PA. He began serving at IBC in 2020 as the Pastor of Young Adult Ministries, and will serve as Associate Pastor-Teacher for the year of 2024. Phillip has a Bachelors of Religious Education from Davis College (formerly Practical Bible College), and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) in Wake Forest, NC. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from SEBTS.

Phillip married his wife Joanna in April 2020, and they have one daughter, Molly. They enjoy serving as partners in ministry, and they are passionate about feeding, leading, and protecting the flock of God. They also enjoy reading, cooking, drawing, hunting, and playing with their cat Spurgeon.
